V1

The tamagotchi V1 was released in 2004 all over the world. It introduced connection through means of infra-red waves. Despite the fact that it was the first tamagotchi released in over 4 years, it was internationally popular! It featured the first gender exclusive tama’s (Excluding the Osu/Mesu), Babytchi (Boy) and Shromibabytchi (Girl). It had 2 baby characters, 2 toddlers, 4 teens, and 8 regular adults. It also had the oldie character’s (Introduced in the Osu/Mesu), and the secret character Ojaitchi (Introduced in the P1). It also introduced the unique feature of debugging. Debugging would allow you to select any character when an egg would hatch (You could even select tama’s that weren’t introduced until the V2, as well as a few unobtainable character’s like Nazotchi). You can find a page detailing debugging here. Note! I am not responsible for any damage done due to debugging. Do it at your own risk!

Icon Guide
1st icon: Health meter.
This is where you can see your hunger meter, happy meter, weight, training meter, gender, name, user name, and generation.

2nd icon: Feeding.
This is basically the same as any other tama. Top icon is meal (Fills 1 hunger heart and 1 pound), and the bottom one is snack (Raises 1 happy heart and 2 pounds). Each character has a different mean and snack.

3rd icon: Toilet
Use this icon when your tama has a poo on the screen or has squiggly lines around it.

4th icon: Game’s.
Here you can play one of two games’…
Dance: This is a memory game. Use the A, B, and C button’s to copy the dance moves. The game end’s if you make a mistake. Your tama must be at least 2 pounds above its minimal weight.
Jump. All you must do is jump over the upcoming hurdles. Press B to jump. The game ends if you hit a hurdle, or if you jump over 30 in a row (Winning the game). Your tama must be at least 3 pounds above its minimal weight.

5th icon: Connect.
With this icon you can connect with other tamas. A V1 can connect to a V1-V4.5. By connecting, you can play a variety of games, get present’s (Item’s depend on the character. All tama’s can receive snakes, poo, and cake), visit each other, and marry.

6th icon: Discipline.
This icon is used to discipline your tama. Each discipline raises the training bar by 1/9. Unlike any previous tama, there are 2 ways’s to discipline…
Praise. Do this if your tama is crying or has its back turned to you.
Time out. Use this if your tama beep’s for you even if it doesn’t have empty hungry/happy meters, is asking for praise, refuses to play a game, or refuses to eat even if it is hungry.

7th icon: Medicine.
Use this if your tama becomes sick (Has a little black skull above it), or if it gets a tooth ache (Has a tooth above its head.
